back in business

Ah! I got my old camera fixed! Yes, apparently pounding it with the palm of my hand was sufficient to dislodge the focus mechanism from its perpetually near-sighted position and it is now working again. It also seems that the old Li-Ion batteries will still hold a charge. This means I'm back in the (very) amateur photography business and ready to trudge out upon the landscape to fill some memory cards with digital renderings.

Now if I can only remember how this damn thing works...

I just wanted to send everyone that's currently watching me a little message. I normally don't say thanks or anything on Thanksgiving but I have to say that if it wasn't for deviantART and the support I get on it I don't know where I'd be in my life right now, so thank you all very much for taking the time to notice, favorite, comment, or just watch me, it means more then you probably know.

Sometimes a kind word of support or encouragement is all it takes to make someone's day or give them the strength to keep going. It's important - especially if our families are not always there for us - to have somewhere to turn where we will be received with genuine appreciation and affection. Sometimes we just need to know that somewhere out there someone cares. We do.
